Cyber Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: McLean, Virginia, USA. Remote work is available, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.

Salary: $99,000–$225,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Lead architecture and design efforts for cybersecurity solutions and service offerings.
• Design secure systems that harden infrastructure and reduce attack surfaces.
• Coordinate with technical experts and senior customer stakeholders to define secure IT solutions.
• Lead network design approaches, evaluate alternatives, and customize architectures to balance security and mission needs.
• Develop implementation plans, capability maturation roadmaps, technical documentation, whitepapers, and blog content.
• Apply cybersecurity technologies across IoT and cloud security, automation and orchestration, identity and access management, and machine learning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• 5+ years leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations.
• 5+ years of network architecture and design experience.
• Experience guiding senior leaders, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other executives.
• Ability to collaborate with project and proposal teams and develop implementation plans and roadmaps.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering leadership experience.
• Experience selecting, designing, and implementing security tools for federal or commercial organizations.
• Experience with automation and orchestration, AI and machine learning, next-generation firewalls, or big data.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree or information security certification such as CEH, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+.
