Lead IaaS Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA; Austin, TX; New York, NY; or Seattle, WA

Compensation: $224,000 – $344,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Lead the IaaS team in delivering compute resources, including provisioning, isolation, and lifecycle management.
• Own the platform layer between bare metal and customer workloads, covering images, networking, and storage.
• Build self-service capabilities to reduce customer onboarding time from weeks to hours.
• Define platform SLOs and establish engineering priorities.
• Set operational standards for infrastructure running at a national scale.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading teams building IaaS or cloud platform layers.
• Expertise in designing multi-tenant isolation for production workloads.
• Demonstrated ability to significantly reduce onboarding or provisioning time.
• Ability to balance platform roadmap requirements against operational load.
• Must be able to work on-site in one of the specified US office locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with bare-metal provisioning.
• Knowledge of GPU virtualization and passthrough.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud networking.
