Location: Onsite veterinary practices in Denver, Highlands Ranch, Louisville, Colorado Springs, and Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Salary: $17.54–$26.44 per hour

What you will do

• Support veterinarians and the practice team in delivering proficient veterinary assistance and patient care.
• Assist with laboratory, radiology, anesthesia, and dental equipment, including work involving animal bodily fluids and tissues.
• Use practice technology and PIMS, communicate patient updates to veterinarians, and follow SOPs and Standards of Care.
• Review invoices, process client payments, and provide empathetic customer service to pet owners.
• Manage pharmacy responsibilities, maintain controlled-substance logs, and communicate inventory needs.
• Clean workspaces after patient and laboratory interactions and complete required training.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary practice.
• Experience in veterinary medicine and the ability to complete the Veterinary Assistant skills checklist.
• Strong verbal and written communication, observational, analytical, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work empathetically with clients and pets in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift up to 50 pounds, with team-lift requirements for heavier loads.
