Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js/Python/Java)

Location: Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico; at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours required

What you will do

• Implement and maintain backend services and REST APIs for application modules and resource-status capabilities.
• Build and maintain CSV and PDF data export functionality.
• Integrate services with existing SSO and role-based access control models.
• Develop reliable data access and integrations across relational databases and data warehouse platforms.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests, support defect resolution, and contribute to hardening and acceptance phases.
• Collaborate with application and technical leads through code reviews, technical documentation, and ticket-based delivery.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or equivalent technologies.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying backend services on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases and data warehouse technologies, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, or equivalents.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing, Git, code reviews, and structured engineering workflows.
• Advanced English proficiency and at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours are required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
