Senior Python Engineer (Backend)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend applications and microservices.
• Build and support RESTful APIs with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Optimize relational databases, write complex SQL queries, and maintain data integrity.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using modern security standards and libraries.
• Integrate external systems and cloud-based services, including structured data and file-processing workflows.
• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, testing, code reviews, and other engineering quality practices while collaborating with product, architecture, DevOps, and business teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Gunicorn.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with authentication, security, and OAuth-related libraries.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry API, SDK, and instrumentation for application observability.
• Experience with data processing, file handling, version control, Agile methodologies, software design principles, and secure coding standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with libraries including requests, PyYAML, jsonschema, xlrd, xlwt, and simplejson.
