Senior Software Development Lead (Golang)

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and mid-tier services using Golang as the primary language.
• Build scalable, secure, high-throughput RESTful and event-driven APIs for enterprise platforms.
• Develop microservices and middleware components integrating internal and external systems.
• Contribute to Java and Python backend services and collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams.
• Improve code quality through testing, code reviews, performance tuning, and observability.
• Support system design, cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and production operations.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of backend or platform engineering experience in enterprise or product-driven environments.
• Strong hands-on experience building production-grade services with Golang.
• Backend or mid-tier development experience with Java and/or Python.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, API design, and relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building high-throughput or low-latency Golang systems.
• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, service mesh, API gateways, or observability tools.
• Exposure to security, authentication, authorization, frontend integrations, or BFF patterns.
• Experience with product-led, hyper-growth, or platform modernization programs.
