Senior Software Engineer (Chat Platform)

Location: Guadalajara; candidates are asked whether they are based in Guadalajara or Mexico City. The role is currently fully remote with a planned transition to a hybrid setup.

hirify.global is building an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot and financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., starting with cross-border remittances using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Architect and implement high-performance, scalable backend microservices for the Chat Platform.
• Build, deploy, and iterate on chatbot services and conversational interfaces for remittance interactions.
• Design and manage infrastructure supporting millions of daily requests and real-time messaging.
• Develop backend services using web-service standards and Google Cloud services.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams while mentoring junior developers.
• Use customer feedback and analytics to improve conversational experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications with real-world impact.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, plus experience with SOAP and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience building chatbots, conversational interfaces, or integrating natural language processing tools.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with DialogFlow, IBM Watson, Rasa, or comparable chatbot frameworks.
• Fintech experience or equivalent competencies.
