TL;DR
Google Cloud DevOps Engineer (Temporary Contract) (Google Cloud/Terraform/Kubernetes): Building and maintaining GKE clusters, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Google Cloud monitoring for a large-scale operational platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, environment promotion, and deployment support. Focus on configuring Kubernetes environments, troubleshooting infrastructure and pipeline issues, and maintaining reliable delivery through system acceptance.
Location: Bogotá, Colombia; at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours required

What you will do
- Build and configure GKE clusters and Google Cloud project environments using an existing Terraform baseline.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion workflows.
- Configure Google Cloud-native monitoring, alerting, and logging.
- Prepare and support deployment packages through system acceptance.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline issues within assigned Dev/QA environments.
- Collaborate with platform and engineering teams on architecture, documentation, code reviews, and ticket-based delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with Terraform on Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience setting up and managing GKE and Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion workflows.
- Experience with Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
- Strong Git fundamentals, including branching strategies, pull requests, and disciplined commits.
- Conversational English and at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Cloud Build and Artifact Registry.
- Experience in security-conscious or government environments.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
