Ink Room Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Prepare inks, coatings, adhesives, solvents, and WETS for upcoming production jobs.
• Match colors to standards and follow written recipes and formulations.
• Support press and coater/laminator crews in meeting quality and manufacturing goals.
• Manage inventory, receive materials, return finished-job WETS, and prepare hazardous materials for shipment.
• Operate a forklift and perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and equipment care.
• Monitor safety, quality, production, and 5-S standards and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training is acceptable.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
