Manufacturing Operations Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Design and optimize pick, pack, receiving, and RMA workflows for warehouse layouts to maximize throughput.
• Build disposition strategies for material management to ensure site builds remain on schedule.
• Develop and integrate custom warehouse, inventory, and transportation management systems.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work instructions for site operations.
• Model rack, dock, and staging capacity to balance throughput against real estate costs.
• Identify and eliminate operational waste through direct site observation and data analysis.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA.
• Proven experience designing or re-designing warehouse layouts with measurable throughput or cost improvements.
• Ability to translate time and motion studies into actionable standard work instructions.
• Experience modeling capacity against real operational data rather than theoretical assumptions.
• Demonstrated success partnering with systems teams to align software with physical processes.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma or industrial engineering background.
• Experience in data center, manufacturing, or high-throughput distribution environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse simulation or layout modeling tools.
