What you will do

  • Support ClinGen variant and gene curation activities.
  • Research the significance of genes and variants through literature and data review.
  • Classify variant and gene-disease associations and support disease-specific Expert Panel activities.
  • Assist laboratories with data submissions to ClinVar and help resolve differences between submitters.
  • Contribute to software tools that support variant and gene curation.
  • Support genomic research projects, knowledge sharing, and ClinGen research publications.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in a scientific discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Clinical Genomics Assistant or in a related role.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Ability to collaborate with local colleagues and an international network of laboratories, disease experts, and data sources.
  • Minimum two-year commitment required.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.
