AI Engineer

Location: Madrid or 55 Baker Street, London, W1U 8EW, United Kingdom. Hybrid work with colleagues expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Build AI agent and LLM-based solutions supporting business development and project execution.
• Develop traditional ML and analytical models when they are the best fit for the problem.
• Prototype delivery formats including agents, avatars, and visual formats.
• Build reusable and scalable solutions and coordinate productization with Quotient Inside.
• Translate business needs into technical execution and collaborate with infrastructure, platform, front-end, and AI content specialists.
• Join client discussions and move solutions from experimentation to reliable delivery while maintaining quality.

Requirements

• Fluency in Python and modern AI/ML tooling across the build lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-based or ML solutions, ideally under time pressure.
• For the data-science-leaning track: strong grounding in ML mathematics, including statistics and linear algebra, plus a range of modelling techniques.
• For the software-engineering-leaning track: strong engineering practice, including testing, code hygiene, and deployment.
• Ability to make practical design decisions quickly and keep moving.
• Experience building solutions for real-world use rather than only experimentation.
• Full professional English.

Nice to have

• Interest or background in Banking & Financial Services.
• Open-source contributions or compelling side projects.
• Experience with agent frameworks, LLM application patterns, or production data/AI workloads.
• Experience building solutions designed for reuse, scale, or productization.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
• Spanish language skills are welcome.

Hiring process

• Technical exercise relevant to the role, either take-home or live.
