Head of External Data Vendor Management (AI)

Location: Hybrid work with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategy and governance for the firm’s external data, research, and expert vendor portfolio.
• Evaluate vendors, establish service-level agreements, build strategic partnerships, and align investments with consulting needs.
• Lead initiatives that integrate external data and AI-enabled capabilities into knowledge, research, and consulting workflows.
• Manage procurement budgets, spending analysis, vendor performance metrics, ROI, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–8 professionals.
• Partner with Knowledge Services, Technology, Procurement, Legal, Risk, Finance, and senior business stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressively senior experience leading external data, research, knowledge, or information service functions.
• Experience owning enterprise-scale vendor portfolios, investment strategies, and commercial outcomes.
• Experience evaluating emerging and AI-enabled capabilities and driving firm-wide adoption.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing and developing teams in a complex organization.
• Availability to work in a hybrid arrangement, with at least three days per week in a local office or onsite with clients.
