Commissioning Automation Engineer

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $224,000–$279,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build software to automate commissioning through test orchestration, data capture, and pass-fail analysis for L4 and L5.
• Develop tooling that converts commissioning scripts into executable, repeatable code across sites.
• Integrate software with BMS, EPMS, and test equipment so evidence is collected automatically.
• Create live reporting for commissioning status and results.

Requirements

• Experience building test automation or orchestration systems for hardware, infrastructure, or industrial applications.
• Experience integrating software with control systems or instrumentation.
• Ability to design auditable systems where every result is traceable to raw data.
• Experience replacing manual expert processes with trusted software.
• Ability to ship quickly with production discipline.

Nice to have

• Commissioning domain experience.
• Knowledge of BMS protocols.
• Python, Go, or TypeScript experience.
• Data center MEP familiarity.
