Senior Backend JavaScript Developer (Node.js)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate distributed ETL and data processing pipelines.
• Develop production-grade backend services with Node.js and AWS.
• Own technical solutions from system design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Optimize event-loop behavior, streams, backpressure, memory usage, and resource utilization.
• Build resilient asynchronous workflows with retries, failure handling, and observability.
• Participate in architecture, code reviews, testing, production-readiness work, and on-call incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on backend JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience building and operating production backend services or SaaS applications.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js under load, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, message queues, delivery guarantees, retries, and failure handling.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerized deployments, observability, analytical SQL platforms, NoSQL databases, object storage, and high-load caches.
• Strong system-design, scalability, reliability, data-modeling, performance-optimization, ownership, and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required. Practical experience with AI-assisted development workflows and secure validation of AI-generated code is also required.
