TL;DR
Virtual Design Engineering Analyst - Seats Subsystem - (Product Development - NX) - São Caetano do Sul - SP - BRA (NX/Automotive): Developing math design solutions, virtual layouts, and integration data for vehicle seat components and subsystems with an accent on foam, plastic, stamping, and complete-vehicle integration. Focus on analyzing complex NX data, applying manufacturability and Design for Assembly principles, and resolving non-routine technical issues across vehicle systems.

Location: São Caetano do Sul, São Paulo, Brazil. Hybrid role requiring on-site work three times per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

What you will do

  • Develop, refine, and finalize math design criteria, sections, math data, and virtual layouts for seat components and subsystems.
  • Analyze seat foam, plastic, and stamping components using NX and integrate designs into larger vehicle systems.
  • Develop virtual integration solutions and interrogate data from individual parts through complete vehicle assemblies.
  • Evaluate vehicle assembly structures, part design usage, and configuration requirements.
  • Apply modeling standards, manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and product integration principles.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, technical leaders, and stakeholders while communicating project status, timing, and technical risks.

Requirements

  • Completed engineering degree.
  • Working knowledge of seat development, including foam, plastic, and stamping components.
  • Proficiency in NX and CAD tools, with experience using VisMockup and the Windows Suite.
  • Knowledge of GM CAD and data management systems, including PLM.
  • Strong understanding of standard modeling methods, math fidelity, and virtual integration throughout the development cycle.
  • Intermediate English proficiency required.
