Senior Data Security Analyst (Data Security)

What you will do

• Build a data protection program with Security Engineering, GRC, Technology Services, and business units.
• Perform data discovery, information lifecycle analysis, and gap analyses of systems, processes, access, and security controls.
• Recommend data security strategies, roadmaps, tools, and techniques to reduce data loss risks.
• Collaborate on security controls aligned with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27000, COBIT, and related standards.
• Assess logging and monitoring capabilities for sensitive data across structured and unstructured repositories.
• Report enterprise data security risks to leadership and support strategic auditing and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; 6+ years of work experience may substitute.
• At least 4 years of IT security experience.
• English proficiency of at least 85% in speaking, reading, and writing is required.
• Knowledge of data security, access controls, encryption, cloud security, data warehouse or data lake security, DLP, and DRM.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, corporate security policies, and security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27000, and COBIT.
• Strong business consulting, communication, organization, analytical, and executive presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a publicly held IT organization.
• CISSP or similar certification; CISSP-ISSEP, CISA, CRISC, or ITIL ITSM Foundation are also desirable.
