Security Firewall Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise firewall infrastructures using Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Check Point.
• Monitor security events and audit logs, investigate alerts, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot firewall, connectivity, VPN, segmentation, and application security issues.
• Manage firewall rules, security policies, ACLs, recertification activities, compliance assessments, and security audits.
• Administer Prisma Access for secure remote connectivity and zero-trust access controls.
• Implement Akamai Guardicore microsegmentation and manage WAF platforms such as Cloudflare, Imperva, or F5.
• Collaborate with network, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams while maintaining security documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and change records.

Requirements

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Proven experience as a Firewall Engineer, Network Security Engineer, or Cybersecurity Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with WAF technologies and one or more of Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, or Check Point.
• Experience with VPN, IDS/IPS, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, ZTNA, and secure remote access solutions.
• Experience implementing microsegmentation, preferably with Akamai Guardicore, plus security log analysis and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, CIS Controls, or similar security frameworks.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, or Check Point CCSA/CCSE certification.
• Experience in enterprise, managed security services, global customer, or cloud security environments.
