Senior Backend Engineer (Go), Storage Platform

What you will do

• Build and optimize hirify.global’s real-time storage access platform and database abstraction layer.
• Design platform capabilities for scale, resiliency, data sharding, and multi-region replication.
• Develop storage abstraction features, database automation, client SDKs, proxies, and developer-facing UI.
• Build Change Data Capture pipelines and work on caching, ephemeral storage, and hot and cold storage management.
• Improve developer onboarding and enforce storage best practices through platform design.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams while delivering platform improvements.

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience with a product- and platform-oriented approach.
• Expertise in NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra or DynamoDB.
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems with a focus on velocity and scalability.
• Familiarity with SRE principles and practical Kubernetes experience, including EKS, as an end user.
• Adaptability, autonomy, data-driven decision-making, and strong communication skills.
• Experience collaborating in diverse and inclusive engineering environments.
