Production Fill Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Round Lake, Illinois, United States; onsite manufacturing role. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

What you will do

• Operate the Galaxy machine and other equipment used in the mix-and-fill process.
• Set up equipment, perform batch changeovers, sterilization, cleaning, and line clearances.
• Support drug formulation, weighing, drop sanitization, and cleaning of tanks, mix complexes, and pressure vessels.
• Build and perform integrity testing on production sterilizing filters.
• Troubleshoot alarms and make process adjustments in accordance with GMPs and plant procedures.
• Complete in-process inspections, batch documentation, datalogger output management, and housekeeping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in GMP manufacturing is required.
• Must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs.
• Must understand, speak, read, and write English for SOPs, specifications, training materials, GMPs, and manuals.
• Visual acuity of 20/25 near vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Basic math, computer, and documentation skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Six or more months of technical or mechanical machine-operating experience.
• Experience troubleshooting label and directional insert dispensing equipment.

• Full-time position on a 12-hour 2-2-3 shift schedule.
• Day shift is 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; night shift is 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Overtime may be required.
• Work requires protective equipment, including a respirator, and may involve confined spaces, pressurized equipment, hot surfaces, wet environments, and temperatures from -25°F to -70°F.
