Operations Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and run the software layer for facility controls, including BMS and EPMS integrations.
• Develop alarm pipelines and automated response systems for data center operations.
• Write integrations against industrial controls protocols to centralize plant data.
• Implement alarm rationalization and routing to improve operator efficiency.
• Automate controlled responses to plant conditions with a focus on safety and rollback capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be based in San Francisco, Austin, New York, or Seattle.
• Experience writing software against building or industrial controls such as BACnet, Modbus, or OPC-UA.
• Proven ability to solve alarm flood problems through engineering solutions.
• Fluency in Python or Go and experience handling complex OT data.
• Respect for the operational risks associated with live plant environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Data center BMS and EPMS.
• Familiarity with Ignition or Niagara platforms.
• Experience with time-series databases.
• Awareness of Safety Instrumented Systems.
