Senior Accountant - Shared Financial Services

Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada; hybrid work model with the position based at the head office

What you will do

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and ensure the quality of financial data.
• Review and approve journal entries and oversee balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Oversee sales tax returns, annual tax filings, periodic financial statements, and audit documentation.
• Participate in external audits and support budgeting and financial analysis for business decision-making.
• Contribute to special projects, continuous improvement, and optimization of closing processes and accounting practices.
• Collaborate with information technology teams to improve financial systems and management tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification.
• At least eight years of financial accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently in a growing and changing environment.
• Excellent proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial and ERP systems.
• French and English bilingualism, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Fusion, OneStream, or similar platforms.
• Experience at a publicly traded company or knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
