Senior Accountant (AI)

Location: Remote from Spain; requires flexibility to collaborate across Central European and Pacific Time zones, with occasional later working hours for U.S. headquarters collaboration.

What you will do

• Execute timely and accurate monthly and annual close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance under US GAAP.
• Oversee integrations between the financial technology stack, including Stripe, Brex, and Deel, ensuring accurate sub-ledger to general ledger flows, account coding, and reconciliations.
• Own daily accounting operations covering accounts payable, corporate credit cards, expense reimbursements, and accounting policy improvements.
• Partner with FP&A on budget-versus-actual variance analysis, departmental spending tracking, and actionable financial reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules and documentation, support annual audits and tax filings, and contribute to local, state, and international regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with finance and cross-functional leaders on projects, processes, and controls affecting the financial statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or another high-growth environment.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as QuickBooks or NetSuite, with the ability to learn new systems.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and modern cloud productivity tools.
• Fluent English required.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to building scalable processes.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Public accounting experience, including Big Four or similar firms.
