What you will do
- Lead and manage a cross-disciplinary team of product designers, UX researchers, content specialists, and other design professionals.
- Plan team capacity, allocate skills and resources, and prioritize work across a portfolio of products.
- Develop design processes, frame complex problems, and lead solutions for undefined product experience challenges.
- Represent user needs in product strategy and roadmap prioritization while maintaining high design standards.
- Communicate design rationale through storytelling and presentations to product, design, engineering, and organizational stakeholders.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in interaction design, UI/UX design, product design, UX research, software development, or a related field.
- 8+ years of related experience, including at least 5 years in UX, interaction design, product design, or research within a product development team.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience, including recruiting, hiring, talent management, and professional development.
- Experience managing and motivating a team of 5–8 designers and researchers.
- Strong communication, persuasion, collaboration, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with design systems, agile practices, impact metrics, and cross-functional product teams.
Nice to have
- Strategic design thinking and experience contributing to an organizational design strategy.
- Experience in financial services, ideally wealth management.
