What you will do
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership across ETL/ELT, data transformation, and data integration services.
- Design operational data stores and reference data services for the Accounts platform and its consumers.
- Establish data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, lineage, governance, and observability controls.
- Contribute to data architecture and promote secure, resilient, scalable engineering standards and Infrastructure as Code.
- Guide and mentor data engineers while collaborating with software engineers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills and extensive experience with relational or modern database technologies.
- Commercial experience developing data solutions with Python.
- Strong knowledge of modern data engineering principles, design patterns, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with data quality, reconciliation, monitoring, and operational data management.
- Experience contributing to data architecture and governance standards.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, and cloud-based data platforms.
