Flight Test Engineer (UAV)

Location: On-site in Brasov, Romania

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and execute UAV flight tests according to test plans, safety procedures, and operational requirements.
• Prepare UAV platforms, ground control stations, payloads, batteries, and supporting equipment for flight operations.
• Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks and analyze flight data to assess system performance.
• Document test results, technical findings, anomalies, and operational observations.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and validation of design changes, software releases, and system improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Customer Operations on production acceptance tests, demonstrations, and field activities.

Requirements

• Experience in flight testing, UAV operations, aerospace engineering, systems testing, or a similar technical environment.
• Strong understanding of UAV systems, aircraft performance, flight operations, and mission planning.
• Experience with ground control stations, telemetry systems, payloads, flight data analysis, validation, verification, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of aviation safety procedures, operational risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with willingness to travel for field testing or customer activities.
• Professional fluency in English and Romanian is required.

Nice to have

• Drone pilot certification or an aviation license.
• Experience with fixed-wing UAVs.
