Production Technician (Machining)

What you will do

• Fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair metal parts, machines, and products.
• Set up and operate manual mills, grinders, punch presses, and drill presses.
• Work from oral and written instructions, blueprints, and other visual aids.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices.
• Perform in-process and final inspections for quality and conformity.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and repair or coordinate repairs of equipment.

Requirements

• One year of skilled machinist experience and completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship, or three years of skilled machinist experience.
• Knowledge of machinist tools, materials, methods, standard practices, hazards, and safety precautions.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend or stoop, push or pull repeatedly, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform precise controlled movements and work cooperatively and safely with others.
