Software Engineer, Analytics

Location: Cape Town, South Africa; hybrid work from the Cape Town office with a commutable-distance requirement

What you will do

• Own and deliver assigned software development workstreams end-to-end.
• Design and implement technical solutions, interfaces, APIs, classes, and scripts.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle, design reviews, planning, estimation, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues by reproducing problems, investigating root causes, recommending solutions, and implementing fixes.
• Collaborate with QA on testing approaches and contribute to test plan creation where appropriate.
• Produce technical documentation and review end-user documentation and release notes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar software engineering role.
• Knowledge of core software development technologies, system architecture, and development practices.
• Ability to work independently within established code review, design, and team planning processes.
• Must be within commuting distance of the Cape Town office for hybrid work.
