Engineering Manager (ML Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in San Francisco or New York, 5 days a week

Salary: $200,000–$350,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Lead a team of engineers building hirify.global’s data platform.
• Partner with the founders to define and execute the technical roadmap.
• Establish engineering processes that support high velocity without sacrificing quality.
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements and address real-world ML challenges.
• Shape the engineering culture and help develop top technical talent.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years of technical leadership.
• Previous experience in an early-stage startup.
• Experience building production ML systems or data infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills and systems thinking, including understanding how systems work under the hood.
• Ability to lead technical teams and communicate across technical and business contexts.
• Proven record of delivering complex projects on time and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust or distributed systems.
• Experience with query planners or compilers.
• Experience implementing data infrastructure or PaaS-like software.
• Experience scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments.
