Commissioning Manager (Renewable Gas)

Location: Site-based role in Inchera industrial area, Co. Cork, Ireland

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate all on-site commissioning activities for a biomethane facility.
• Manage a small commissioning team, subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and the client.
• Define and improve commissioning strategies, standards, procedures, and execution plans.
• Monitor schedule, budget, risks, performance, contractual requirements, and technical compliance.
• Oversee commissioning documentation, testing, trial runs, handover through PAC, customer training, and operational readiness.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager or Lead on large-scale Renewable Gas projects using anaerobic digestion processes.
• Strong technical understanding of process systems and commissioning for complex industrial plants.
• Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams on site.
• Knowledge of contract management, project controls, and commissioning processes.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, risk-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with SAP, Primavera, P&IDs, and technical drawings.

Nice to have

• Relevant HSE qualifications such as SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH.
• Hazardous area certification such as CompEx.
• Experience working across multiple international projects.
