Automation Specialist (AI)

Location: Birmingham, UK; hybrid work with in-person attendance 3 days per week and residence within commuting distance of a hirify.global hub required. Relocation support may be available from anywhere in the world for certain roles.

hirify.global is a global travel and spend management SaaS platform that automates travel bookings, expenses, invoice processing, and other operational work for more than 10,000 companies.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy production automations for Customer Care.
• Develop multi-system integrations using Make, Airtable, Zendesk, Claude, APIs, and other AI tooling.
• Own automation projects from discovery and technical design through launch and continuous improvement.
• Create testing and validation environments for reliable workflows and LLM-powered tools.
• Monitor production systems, debug issues, improve adoption, and reduce manual operational work.
• Establish reusable components, architecture patterns, and standards for safe and maintainable delivery.

Requirements

• Production experience shipping automations with Make, Zapier, Claude, or similar tools.
• Experience using Airtable or comparable systems as an operational backbone.
• Experience building LLM-powered workflows with prompt design, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Strong production debugging skills and the ability to respond quickly under pressure.
• Ability to turn ambiguous business requests into scalable, supportable technical solutions.
• Comfort collaborating with technical and operational stakeholders; English is the official office language.
