Finance Operations Specialist

Location: Hybrid role based in London, United Kingdom, with a minimum of one day per week in the London office

What you will do

• Download, check, and reconcile funding documents against expected schedules, identifying discrepancies.
• Process funding batches from initial submission through cash receipt, payment validation, and query resolution.
• Record bank transactions and ensure correct cash movements between accounts in line with funder requirements.
• Manage funder relationships and coordinate with Account Management, Capital Markets, and other internal teams.
• Allocate supplier and funder payments, support bank reconciliations, and respond to audit requests.
• Identify process changes that improve activities upstream and downstream.

Requirements

• Financial literacy is desirable; relevant alternative experience may be considered.
• Strong accountability and the ability to manage tasks through to completion.
• Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel and G Suite; SQL data skills are desirable.
• Ability to investigate and logically resolve discrepancies in bank statements and system postings.
• Availability to work from the London office at least one day per week.
