Mechanical Engineer (Compressors)

Location: On-site in Shanghai, China

What you will do

• Act as the engineering contact for customers during compressor and expansion turbine order handling.
• Prepare component technical specifications, evaluate quotations, and release drawings and bills of material.
• Develop technical solutions that meet component cost targets.
• Support application, sales, sourcing, production, and project management teams with technical expertise.
• Provide technical support during erection and commissioning when required.
• Participate in customer meetings and complete other assigned engineering tasks.

Requirements

• University degree or higher in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field.
• More than 3 years of experience in a multinational or exporting machinery company, with experience in package design, order handling, or project management.
• Technical knowledge of the design, packaging, quality, and operation procedures of tailor-made machines.
• Knowledge of integrally geared centrifugal compressors is preferred, along with thermodynamics and aerodynamics.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required.
• Good Microsoft computer skills, strong communication and teamwork skills, and willingness to travel.
