TL;DR
Full Stack Angular Software Engineer (Angular/Java): Building and maintaining scalable Web Banking applications for financial institutions with an accent on responsive Angular interfaces, backend integration, and performance optimization. Focus on designing frontend components, integrating RESTful and microservices-based backend systems, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting complex application issues.
Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom; hybrid and flexible working available.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Web Banking applications using Angular and related technologies.
- Build responsive, user-focused interfaces that work across devices and browsers in collaboration with UX/UI designers.
- Integrate frontend components with server-side logic and backend services.
- Optimize application performance, loading times, and cross-browser behavior while troubleshooting defects.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, task estimation, and continuous development improvements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
Requirements
- Professional experience in frontend development with strong Angular expertise, including NgRx and RxJS.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and RESTful API integration.
- Experience with Java, Hibernate, JPA, ORM, microservices, and object-oriented and functional programming.
- Understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git and Bitbucket.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Additional European language skills, ideally German.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with tools such as JUnit or Cypress.
- Experience with OpenShift, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or Oracle Cloud.
