Security Operations Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote from anywhere in North America; availability to support during US hours and participate in an on-call rotation is required.

What you will do

• Provide operational support for SecOps alerts, triage, maintenance, and security-related tickets.
• Investigate cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities, malicious activity, and anomalous behavior using logs and transactional data.
• Troubleshoot SecOps tools and on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Harden and configure cloud and infrastructure tools with IT and Systems teams.
• Document SOPs, playbooks, procedures, reports, SLAs, and escalation processes.
• Monitor security systems and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in IT or Systems teams within a SaaS or cloud company.
• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments, including GCP, Elastic, Okta, IDM, Active Directory, and Jamf.
• Experience securing Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with security incident response, log analysis, cloud security, networking, and monitoring tools.
• Strong written and spoken English and the ability to support during US hours are required.
• CompTIA CySA+ certification, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
