Quality Engineer I - Microbiology Laboratory (Evening Shift)

Location: Galway, County Galway, Ireland; evening shift

Salary: €41,600–€62,400 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan

What you will do

• Perform routine microbiological testing for receiving, in-process, and final lot release activities.
• Review and release laboratory test data.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain quality standards.
• Lead laboratory investigations and deviations, using root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for products and production equipment.
• Conduct quality assurance tests and statistical analysis of products and materials that do not meet specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree at Level 7 NFQ in engineering, science, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in a medical device or related environment is preferred.
• Understanding of GMP and documentation practices in a technical or professional environment.
• Ability to work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
• Strong oral and written communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to patient and customer focus, operational excellence, and accountability.
