Senior Staff Engineer, QA

Location: Hybrid in Letterkenny, Ireland; required in the office three days a week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Applicants must currently reside in Ireland and be able to work there without visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain test automation solutions, frameworks, test plans, and test strategies for multiple product features.
• Perform automated, manual, feature, API, and continuous testing, serving as a subject matter expert for at least one product component.
• Monitor automation results, investigate failures, trace issues to the product or test suite, and log and communicate defects.
• Collaborate with Product, Developers, DevOps, and CloudOps to clarify requirements, improve test environments, and support timely delivery.
• Identify gaps and improvements across testing processes, tooling, and ways of working, and contribute to design reviews and company-wide initiatives.
• Mentor agile teams and build stronger testing capabilities through new tools, approaches, and methods.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in a Test Engineer or Test Analyst role and a degree or master's degree.
• Experience with automation testing using Pytest, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Coding competency in Node.js, JavaScript, and/or Python.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter.
• Experience with CI/CD environments, Jenkins, Docker, SQL or Oracle Database, and test support tools including JIRA, Confluence, and Xray.
• Must currently reside in Ireland, work in Ireland without visa sponsorship, and be able to commute to the Letterkenny office three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud technologies and AWS accreditation.
• Knowledge of backups and storage, performance testing, vulnerability and security concerns.
