Senior Staff Engineer, QA

Location: Letterkenny, Ireland; required in the office three days per week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Candidates must currently reside in Ireland and be able to work in the country without visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated testing solutions, test plans, test strategies, and test automation frameworks.
• Test multiple product features and serve as a subject matter expert for at least one product component.
• Analyze automation failures, trace issues to the product or test suite, and log and manage bugs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, DevOps, and CloudOps teams on requirements, feature testing, environments, and continuous quality improvement.
• Contribute to design reviews, cross-product initiatives, and the adoption of new tools and testing approaches.
• Mentor agile teams and help build stronger test capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree-level or master's-level education.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer or Test Analyst.
• Experience with test automation using Pytest, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of REST API testing, including Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, or equivalent frameworks.
• Coding competency in NodeJS, JavaScript, and/or Python, plus experience with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, XRAY, SQL, Oracle Database, Docker, cloud technologies, performance testing, and test strategy development.

Nice to have

• AWS or Azure experience and AWS accreditation.
• Knowledge of backup and storage domains.
• Knowledge of vulnerability and security concerns.
