Events and Community Engagement Manager (Marketing)

Location: Thames Valley, UK | Hybrid

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year; either 5 days full time or 4 days for a more senior candidate

What you will do

• Develop and deliver annual events and community engagement strategies, including budgets and quarterly reviews.
• Create programmes of wellbeing, volunteering, education, community and signature events.
• Lead event planning from procurement and stakeholder coordination through delivery, logistics and post-event reporting.
• Build relationships with occupiers, visitors, local organisations and community partners as a destination ambassador.
• Develop digital and physical marketing activity using insight and analytics to improve engagement and brand awareness.
• Identify partnerships and commercial opportunities that enhance the destination experience and proposition.

Requirements

• Proven experience in events, community engagement, placemaking, marketing or a closely related discipline.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage stakeholders, suppliers, budgets and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with occupiers, visitors, agencies and external partners.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities that improve destination profile, experience and revenue potential.
• Practical understanding of event logistics, health and safety requirements and on-the-ground delivery.
