Accounts Receivable Accountant (SaaS)

What you will do

• Own the accounts receivable cycle, including collections, overdue invoice follow-up, purchase orders, and client billing queries.
• Upload invoices to client portals and liaise directly with clients to resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
• Support accounting operations across multiple entities, including journal entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and intercompany billing.
• Prepare and reconcile accounting schedules for prepayments, accruals, deferrals, purchase and sales deferments, and subscriptions.
• Contribute to month-end close, P&L and balance sheet analysis, audits, VAT filings, transfer pricing, and group accounting.
• Use advanced Excel and Stripe to analyze AR aging, reconcile payments, track subscriptions, and improve receivables processes through automation and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong hands-on focus on accounts receivable, collections, or credit control.
• Experience managing purchase orders, chasing payments, using client invoicing portals, and handling client-facing billing conversations.
• Strong understanding of subscription-based revenue and accounting schedules; SaaS experience is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, IF formulas, and analysis of large datasets.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, proactivity, and ownership of process improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Stripe.
• ACCA or CPA qualification or progress toward one.
• Exposure to VAT filings, transfer pricing, or group and intercompany accounting.
