System Signal/Power Integrity Engineer

What you will do

• Support high-data-rate SerDes applications for systems up to 400G.
• Perform system-level signal and power integrity design trade-offs, simulation, measurement, and debug.
• Collaborate with package, PCB, silicon, and customer engineers on measurement-simulation correlation projects.
• Develop electromagnetic and circuit models using Ansys HFSS, SIWave, Q3D, Polar, and Keysight ADS.
• Perform 50GHz+ VNA/TDR measurements and capture high-fidelity laboratory data using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Analyze transmission lines, crosstalk, BER, jitter, phase noise, optical channel impairments, and power delivery networks.

Requirements

• BS with 12+ years, MS with 10+ years, or PhD with 7+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Experience with signal integrity for high-speed digital applications, electromagnetic or microwave theory, numerical field solvers, power integrity, IC package design, or photonics.
• Understanding of pre-layout and post-layout modeling and simulation for package and PCB signal integrity.
• Knowledge of VNA/TDR measurements, SerDes bit-by-bit and statistical simulators, and time- and frequency-domain analysis.
• Ability to understand laminate design and fabrication constraints for package and PCB designs.
• Ability to document SI models, requirements, project plans, analysis, and customer-facing technical findings.

Nice to have

• Experience with Matlab, Cadence APD/Allegro, Linux, Keysight AEL, and other layout tools.
• Familiarity with optical/electrical engine concepts, CWDM, OMA, chromatic dispersion, and four-wave mixing.
