Game Logic Server Developer (Java/iGaming): Building server-side logic for online slot games, from game concepts and mechanics through balancing, integration, and release, with an accent on maintainable Java architecture, game state, and reliable transaction handling. Focus on implementing reel logic, feature triggers, and bonus flows, coordinating with mathematicians and cross-functional teams, and refactoring the platform to reduce technical debt.
Location: Hybrid in the UK (London) or Poland (Warsaw)

What you will do
- Build server-side game logic in Java from concept and design specification through release.
- Implement reel logic, core mechanics, feature triggers, bonus flows, game state, configurations, metadata, and client-facing interfaces.
- Collaborate with Game Mathematicians on balancing and resolve logic or behavioural issues.
- Coordinate with Client Developers, Designers, QA Engineers, and Producers to align server implementation with the client and intended player experience.
- Integrate games with the backend platform and ensure secure, reliable handling of game rounds and transactions.
- Diagnose production and development issues while improving, refactoring, and modernising the code base.
Requirements
- Strong Java skills with solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and software architecture.
- Experience with clean, maintainable, configurable game or systems logic and software design patterns.
- Strong software development and backend engineering foundation.
- Good mathematical and logical reasoning, with strong attention to detail and ownership of projects through release.
- Proficiency with Git, distributed version control, branching strategies, and Agile Scrum.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
Nice to have
- Experience in iGaming or video games.
- Understanding of slot mechanics and iGaming regulatory considerations.
- Familiarity with Jira or ClickUp.
