Sr. Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Singapore; at least 3 days per week in the office, with exact expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications enhanced with Generative AI capabilities for the hirify.global Resolve Online program.
• Build GenAI workflows including retrieval pipelines, RAG systems, orchestration graphs, and agent-based architectures.
• Integrate AI components and agents with internal and external APIs, business systems, and data sources.
• Translate functional requirements into clean, maintainable, testable code and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• Develop automated unit and component tests, address defects and performance issues, and maintain production reliability.
• Participate in releases and operational readiness while collaborating with Product Managers, DevOps, QA, Security, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of relevant experience; master’s graduates require at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on software engineering experience with enterprise-grade Java/J2EE applications, preferably Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and Angular or React.
• Experience with LLMs, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Strong knowledge of clean code, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and scalable application architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated unit, integration, component, and regression testing, version control, code quality gates, and release automation.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, payments, dispute processing, or other high-volume, mission-critical enterprise platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code CLI, GitHub Copilot, or Cline.
