Focus on designing evaluation frameworks and guardrails, solving cross-cutting distributed-systems challenges, and enabling engineering teams to move faster with greater autonomy.

What you will do
- Lead the shift toward an AI-native software development lifecycle across requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations, and incident response.
- Architect high-throughput, highly available distributed systems supporting critical consumer and integrity experiences.
- Design evaluation frameworks, guardrail systems, and context and knowledge systems for safe, scalable use of AI and autonomous agents.
- Build shared platform primitives, reference architectures, reusable patterns, and technical guardrails across multiple business lines.
- Drive cross-team architectural initiatives and communicate technical trade-offs with senior engineering and product leaders.
- Use AI tools for technical analysis, documentation, code review, scenario modelling, and architectural decision-making.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering and system design, including at least 5 years in a principal engineer or architect role at large-scale technology companies.
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled engineering transformation, including coding agents, agentic workflows, automated testing, evaluation frameworks, and engineering guardrails.
- Experience architecting and scaling distributed systems serving millions of users with demanding reliability, availability, performance, security, and cost requirements.
- Experience building or leading shared platforms adopted across multiple products, business lines, or engineering organisations.
- Experience leading cross-team architectural initiatives and influencing senior engineers and engineering leaders without direct reporting authority.
- Experience using GenAI and emerging technologies for design, documentation, code review, productivity, workflows, and technical analysis.
