Senior Manager, Sourcing & Procurement

What you will do

• Develop and implement category and strategic sourcing strategies aligned with organisational and commercial objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including market engagement, supplier evaluation, tendering, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, contract lifecycles, renewals, disputes, performance improvement, and supply chain risk mitigation.
• Lead procurement performance reporting across savings, supplier KPIs, risk, and compliance metrics.
• Drive process optimisation, digital procurement, sustainability, ESG, ethical sourcing, audits, and governance initiatives.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, and executive stakeholders while leading, mentoring, and developing procurement team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in procurement, supply chain, business, or a related field.
• Significant senior sourcing and procurement management experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven results delivering strategic sourcing initiatives, cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and high-value contract management.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship management skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing procurement teams, with a strong understanding of UK procurement practices, commercial governance, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work flexibly and on varying schedules based on business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience across indirect spend, professional services, IT, construction, or manufacturing procurement categories.
• Experience in public sector, regulated, or governance-driven environments.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Jaggaer, or other ERP and e-procurement systems.
• CIPS Level 5 or 6, or equivalent qualification; membership of CIPS or another relevant professional body.
• Knowledge of sustainability, ESG, and supply chain risk management principles.
