TL;DR
Sr. Data Engineer (AI): Building scalable platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and GenAI-powered applications integrating large language models such as OpenAI and Anthropic with an accent on distributed systems, data foundations, security, and reliability. Focus on designing prompt and orchestration workflows, implementing monitoring and data quality controls, and operating production AI services at enterprise scale.
Location: Singapore; at least 3 days in the office are required, with attendance expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do
- Design and build scalable platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and services supporting AI and generative AI applications.
- Integrate large language model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic into secure enterprise production systems.
- Implement prompt workflows, context handling, orchestration patterns, and automation for GenAI use cases.
- Develop production-grade code and contribute to design reviews, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation.
- Improve reliability through validation, monitoring, data quality checks, observability, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Apply security, privacy, and governance principles while maintaining and upgrading distributed production systems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, TypeScript, Node.js, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience with microservices, APIs, data pipelines, large datasets, real-time streaming or event-driven systems, and distributed architectures.
- Experience writing secure, maintainable, production-grade code and applying testing, monitoring, data validation, and performance-tuning practices.
- Experience supporting production systems, including troubleshooting, upgrades, maintenance, and security remediation.
- Ability to work from the Singapore office at least 3 days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating generative AI systems and LLM providers such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, embeddings, tool calling, context management, agent memory, and model evaluation.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Model Context Protocol servers, Spring AI, vector databases, knowledge graphs, or AI SDKs.
- Experience with Kafka, cloud-native applications, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, and monitoring.
- Experience presenting technical designs, participating in code reviews, and mentoring engineers.
