Associate Scientist Chem - Analytical (R)

Location: United States - Connecticut - Groton; on premise

Annual base salary: $60,200–$100,400, plus a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Maintain PAT instrumentation, including NIR and FBRM instruments, through preparation, installation, calibration, and performance checks.
• Support clinical solid oral dose GMP manufacturing campaigns with analytical expertise.
• Monitor instrument outputs using advanced process control software, real-time dashboards, and analytics.
• Contribute to system life cycle documentation, SOPs, technical reports, and data reviews.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and present analytical data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, academic, or industrial research environment.
• Problem-solving and instrument troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow safe laboratory practices and meet project milestones under general supervision.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required; U.S. visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience with PAT instrumentation, NIR, FBRM, APC software, or data analysis in a GMP environment.
