Focus on driving lean continuous improvement, supporting NPI readiness, managing capital equipment and budgets, and developing the manufacturing engineering team.

Location: West Caldwell, New Jersey, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $185,500–$220,000 per year, with potential performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team across machining, special process development, assembly, testing, fabrication, tooling, and process validation.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and AS9100 standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through setup reduction, visual standard work, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate engineering requests, make-or-buy decisions, workload priorities, and manufacturing feasibility for new and revised products.
  • Manage departmental budgets and oversee the selection and acquisition of capital equipment.
  • Support NPI through Integrated Product Teams, ensure manufacturing readiness, and provide leadership and development for assigned personnel.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering and process development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electromechanical, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools, raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost optimization.
  • Critical thinking, time management, decision-making, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Only US Persons may be considered where the role requires access to Controlled Data or Information under ITAR.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with required PPE, fluctuating schedules, and exposure to noise, dust, fumes, cold temperatures, or confined spaces.
