Software Developer (Angular/Java)

Location: Hybrid from an office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Lake Saint Louis, Missouri; or Mandan, North Dakota. Work at least 3 days per week from an office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays; the third office day is selected with the supervisor.

What you will do

• Design and build responsive web applications for the iVUE Connect Utility Customer Care and Billing platform.
• Develop RESTful web services using container-driven development, Kubernetes, and microservices.
• Research, design, and implement new features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze and resolve moderately complex customer issues and software bugs.
• Write unit and integration tests and follow established software development methodologies.
• Explore and prototype intelligent agent-based features that improve user experience and automate workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Angular and/or TypeScript, plus Java or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with automated unit, integration, contract, or end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of responsive web development, performance optimization, software architecture, Git workflows, and test-driven development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Kafka, SSO, or Cassandra.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Experience leveraging generative AI tools and technologies in software development.
