Customer Service and Inventory Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Christchurch, Canterbury, at the Wigram site; onsite role

Employment: Full time, 12-month fixed-term contract. Standard hours are 9:00 am–5:30 pm, with operational coverage Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, flexibility, and possible overtime.

What you will do

• Receive, process, and verify customer orders, clarifying incomplete or unclear details.
• Coordinate dispatch, transport, couriers, and on-time delivery to key customers.
• Respond to customer enquiries about orders, dispatches, accounts, and service issues.
• Capture product, delivery, and service complaints and raise credits or debits when required.
• Maintain records and databases using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, including purchase orders and invoice receipts.
• Receive and record inventory, coordinate stock movements, and support accurate, timely stock counts.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar customer service, clerical, or inventory role in a fast-paced environment.
• Healthcare or medical industry experience is preferred.
• Professional telephone communication, strong written communication, and close attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage time, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Compassion, empathy, initiative, and adaptability to change.
