Senior AP Specialist, Vendor Onboarding & Compliance (Fintech)

Location: Mandaluyong City, Manila, Philippines; in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly, typically three days per week

What you will do

• Own end-to-end supplier onboarding in NetSuite and Coupa, including supplier records, banking details, payment terms, and audit trails.
• Collect, review, and validate W-9, W-8 series, Philippine withholding tax, and other supplier tax documentation.
• Guide new vendors through the onboarding portal, resolve setup issues, and maintain onboarding tracking and escalations.
• Perform supplier due diligence, including sanctions screening, TIN/EIN validation, and banking verification.
• Resolve duplicate records, payment-detail mismatches, and blocked payable setups with AP colleagues across Manila, Managua, and Seattle.
• Support the AP Lead, collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and Finance, review AP Specialist work, and improve onboarding processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of Accounts Payable or Procure-to-Pay experience focused on supplier or vendor onboarding.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine VAT, withholding tax, and BIR documentary requirements, including forms 2307 and 2316.
• Experience with vendor master management in NetSuite, Coupa, or similar ERP/P2P platforms.
• Knowledge of supplier due diligence, sanctions screening, banking verification, W-9/W-8 forms, and IRS documentation for US and cross-border vendor classification.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills, strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and effective cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven vendor screening tools.
• Six Sigma or Lean methodology experience or certification.
